Lisa Solovay, College Advisor
Our college advisor, Lisa Solovay, has over 15 years of experience advising and counseling students in Broward County public schools as well as in private settings. Most recently, she worked as the Director of College Counseling at College Experts and was previously the College Advisor (BRACE) and Silver Knight Coordinator for both West Broward and Western High Schools.
She has advised, counseled, and placed thousands of students over the years, working with them on 4-year planning, creating resumes, identifying universities that meet each student’s needs, completing applications, brainstorming and drafting essays, and applying for scholarships. She also has built a strong network of relationships with college admissions professionals across the country.
Lisa’s students have earned millions of dollars in scholarships (Bright Futures, University Merit, and Private Scholarships) and have been accepted to numerous universities, including Stanford, MIT, Duke, Columbia, University of Chicago, Cornell, Yale, Dartmouth, University of Pennsylvania, Barnard, Bowdoin, Washington University in St. Louis, UCLA, Northwestern, University of Michigan, Oberlin, Tulane, Johns Hopkins, Georgetown, Berkeley, UNC Chapel Hill, University of Virginia, Vanderbilt, USC, Case Western, Penn State, University of Maryland, Emory, Georgia Tech, Carnegie Mellon, Purdue, Northeastern, Boston College, Boston University, NYU, University of Florida, University of Miami, Florida State University, University of Central Florida, University of South Florida, Florida Gulf Coast University, Florida International University, Florida Atlantic University, to name just a few.
Lisa has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida and an M.B.A. from Florida Atlantic University. Lisa’s daughters also graduated from the University of Florida and are now working in New York City.
